What Do We Believe?
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Bible is the guide for faith and life.(2 Pet. 1:20-21; 2 Tim. 3:16)

One God exists eternally in three persons, described in the Bible as - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Ma
tthew 28:19; John 14:16-26 & 16:7-15)

God is the sole creator of the universe; the world did not accidentally come into being. God intentionally created the universe and mankind, giving all people value and purpose.(Genesis 1:1-2:25)

People’s actions separate them from God. Out of His love for mankind, He sent Jesus into the world to die to provide a way for all to come back to God. (Isaiah 53:1-6; Matthew 1:21; John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

Jesus in the flesh was both God and man. He fulfilled prophecy by being born of a virgin and living a sinless life. He was crucified on a cross and God placed mankind’s sins onto Him. God raised Jesus from the dead. He later was taken to heaven, where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers. He will come again to the earth.(Philippians 2:5-8; Luke 1:26-35; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Peter 2:21-24; 1 Corinthians 15:3-5; Acts 1:9-11)

Jesus died for our sins according to the bible as a replacement sacrifice. All who believe Him will be saved. God asks those who believe in Jesus (and are sorry for the actions that have separated them from God) to be baptized under water for the forgiveness of sins and to have God live inside them. (Hebrews 9:11-14 & 10:10-13; 1 Peter 3:18,21; Galatians 3:13-14; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38, 22:16; Romans 6:1-7)

Being saved from eternal separation from God when you die is a gift from God. This is called salvation, like being born twice. It is a new start. (1 John 1:8-10 & 3:9; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-9)

The goal of every Christian should be to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to what God asks us to do. God exists in those who believe in Him. This is called the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 14:20; Colossians 1:9-12 & 3:12-17)

The Holy Spirit is simply God living in you. He exists in believers and confirms that they are forgiven. (John 14:26 & 16:8-15; Romans 8:9 & 8:26-27; John 14:23; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
